Earlier in the week, when the weather here was nice and warmer, I hastily decided to try my hand at a sunset timelapse with Horo and Alice. And while I generally feel I failed to achieve what I intended, I learned a bunch about the process.
On Tuesday I decided it was about time I visited Fairplay, Colorado, the real South Park. I’d been to Colorado four times now and still hadn’t visited, and last year I actually passed right by it on my way to Weston Pass but had no idea at the time. So I went.
Despite having been in Colorado now for two weeks already, I’ve barely done anything. I’ve taken a couple cruises through the foot hills, but not taken a single photo until yesterday when Gibwar and myself took our girls up the 14er known as Mt Evans. You may recall I rode up it last year as […]
Yesterday I went out for a little ride on the motorcycle to find Ontario’s last historical covered bridge, in West Montrose. Well, it’s definitely there, but that wasn’t not the highlight of the ride.
With Anime North and subsequently Doll North last month and my choosing not to attend, I didn’t get to meet up with everyone until this month. It certainly felt like quite a long time, so much so that I’d actually gone out to take photos without a doll meet, which is something else that hadn’t happened in quite a while (though I haven’t posted them yet). Even still I don’t feel as though I talked to everyone much, maybe I did, but I mostly remember desperately trying to get a good photo in various places with Horo and Alice and mostly failing.
Suddenly felt like taking a bunch of photos yesterday. The weather was actually sunny when I took them, but once I started to process them a thunderstorm had rolled in and I felt that concept suited the photos better. I hope you enjoy some fakery!
Sunday night MrCool, a reasonably local and fellow Dollfie Dream collector, asked if I would show him how to take good photos. I did nothing of the sort, but we spent Monday outside taking photos anyway.
April is a busy month for many of the crew who attend the Toronto doll meets. Between Easter and preparing for Anime North, weekends are just as busy as weekdays. So scheduling becomes an issue for some and as such pushed us right back to the last day of the last weekend in April.
